Paris Fashion Week: Balmain to Lanvin, Couture Comes To Life For S/S 2017

Paris Fashion Week has brought fashion-lovers the very best the world of couture and reminds once again why Paris truly is the fashion capital of the world. The very definition of chic, the pieces by some of the world’s most notable fashion houses and designers have emerged onto the runway and easily taken onlookers’ breath away by the pure genius and beauty that has been presented.

Balmain brought the wild to the runway, while Dior selected a quirky yet sweet tone with their respective Spring/Summer 2017 collection. Chloe ensembles melded bohemian relaxation with elegance and grace, while Lanvin ensured that the collection was fierce yet luxurious, for any fashionista seeking to add a bit of an edge to her wardrobe. Lastly, Marie Elie drew on a muse reminiscent of the romantic era with pieces designed to ensure chic appeal at any fine occasion.

Balmain 

Balmain brought the wild to the runway. The collection, the very makeup of luxury with prints in python and knits of golden tone, seemed 80s -inspired, and as The Times remind, Olivier Rousteing “isn’t a designer who does things by halves.” Balmain looks expensive and is, just that.

Marie Elie

Marie Elie drew on a muse beckoning from years gone by with pieces designed to ensure chic appeal at any fine occasion.Lace, jeweled embellishments, cages and corsets take these pieces back in time, yet short cuts and sheer fabrics fasten them firmly in the 21st century.

Dior selected a quirky yet sweet tone with their respective Spring/Summer 2017 collection.  New creative director for Dior women’s wear,  Maria Grazia Chiuri, shared about her inspiration behind the collection:

Lanvin

Lanvin ensured that the collection was fierce yet luxurious, for any fashionista seeking to add a bit of an edge to her wardrobe. Top models made up the runway show for this fashion house, and the ladies helped the sexy, yet stunningly-crafted pieces sizzle all the more.

Chloe

Chloe ensembles melded bohemian relaxation with elegance and grace. A palette of rosy hues and deep navy, next to stark whites and lounge-worthy silhouettes, found the runway for the reveal. Each piece, stands out from the other, yet the collection works fluidly as a chic entity, enticing fashionistas to fill their closets.
